A Qatari Armed Forces aircraft has landed in Colombia carrying a fully equipped field hospital, according to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The hospital was supplied by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) to help Colombian authorities respond to a recent earthquake that struck the country.

The facility is intended to support local hospitals in the affected areas by delivering urgent medical care and helping maintain health services through the emergency response phase. Qatar’s International Search and Rescue Group, part of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), assisted with equipping and delivering the hospital so services could begin quickly.

Qatar’s foreign ministry framed the deployment as part of the country’s broader commitment to humanitarian aid and disaster response at both the regional and international level.
